3X vs 5X Magnification

Choosing between the 3X and 5X configurations depends primarily on your preferred balance between magnification and field of view.

3X Magnification provides moderate image enlargement while retaining a wider viewing perspective. It is a practical option for general observation where surrounding-scene awareness remains important.

5X Magnification provides greater apparent subject size and additional long-distance viewing detail. The increased magnification may result in a more focused viewing experience and requires more precise eye positioning.

Flip-to-Side Mount

The flip-to-side mounting system allows the magnifier to be conveniently repositioned without completely removing it from the compatible rail.

When magnification is required, the magnifier can be positioned behind a compatible primary optical viewing device. When magnification is not required, it can be moved away from the viewing path.

This provides convenient switching between magnified and unmagnified observation.
