Dual-Sensor Imaging System

The TRV NT15 incorporates two dedicated imaging channels to provide both thermal detection and conventional visible-light observation.

The thermal channel detects infrared energy emitted by people, animals, machinery and surrounding objects, allowing heat signatures to be observed without relying on visible light.

The 1920 × 1440 visible-light channel captures conventional scene details and provides additional environmental information during daytime and illuminated conditions.

256 × 192 Thermal Detector

The thermal channel uses a 256 × 192 detector with a 12 μm pixel pitch, providing effective heat-source detection for outdoor observation.

The thermal detector is suited to:

  • Heat-source detection in darkness
  • Broad-area thermal scanning
  • Outdoor observation
  • Property monitoring
  • Equipment monitoring
  • Digital image enlargement

NETD ≤25 mK Thermal Sensitivity

The NT15 features a listed NETD of 25 mK or lower, providing high thermal sensitivity for distinguishing small temperature differences within a scene.

High thermal sensitivity improves the ability to distinguish heat signatures against backgrounds with limited temperature contrast.

1920 × 1440 Visible-Light Camera

The dedicated visible-light channel provides 1920 × 1440 resolution through a 12 mm lens.

This high-resolution digital channel provides conventional scene detail that complements the thermal imaging system.

Dual-Light Fusion

The dual-light fusion function combines thermal information with visible-light scene detail to create a more informative observation image.

Fusion imaging provides:

  • Improved edge definition
  • Clearer environmental context
  • Better separation of warm subjects
  • More recognizable scene structure
  • Enhanced viewing in mixed-light environments

15 mm Thermal & 12 mm Visible-Light Lenses

The NT15 incorporates two dedicated optical channels:

  • Thermal Infrared Lens: 15 mm
  • Visible-Light Lens: 12 mm

This dual-lens configuration allows each imaging system to operate through an optical path designed for its respective sensor.

Digital Zoom

The NT15 provides selectable digital zoom levels of:

  • 1x
  • 2x
  • 3x
  • 4x

Digital zoom provides convenient image enlargement when observing smaller or more distant heat signatures and scene details.

Up to 1,000 m Thermal Detection

The NT15 provides a listed thermal detection distance of up to approximately 1,000 metres.

The long detection range supports scanning and heat-source detection across open outdoor environments.

Picture-in-Picture Viewing

The integrated picture-in-picture mode displays a magnified portion of the image while retaining the wider scene.

This allows the operator to examine additional detail while maintaining awareness of the surrounding viewing area.

Four Reticle Patterns & Colours

The NT15 includes four reticle patterns and four reticle colour modes, providing multiple digital reference-display configurations.

The system also features a 2 MOA dot size and MOA-based digital adjustment.

Photo & Video Recording

Built-in recording functionality allows the TRV NT15 to capture photos and videos directly through the imaging system.

This provides convenient documentation of thermal and visible-light observations for later review.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Integrated Wi-Fi connectivity provides wireless communication with compatible mobile devices.

The wireless system complements the NT15's digital imaging and recording capabilities for connected outdoor observation.

Up to 8 Hours Battery Life

The NT15 provides a listed operating duration of up to approximately eight hours, supporting extended portable outdoor observation without continuous external power.

IPX7 Water Resistance

The TRV NT15 carries an IPX7 water-resistance rating, providing protection against temporary water immersion under the conditions defined by the IPX7 standard.

This provides additional environmental protection for outdoor observation and field use.

Suitable Applications

The TRV NT15 is designed for:

  • Wildlife observation
  • Farm monitoring
  • Property inspection
  • Night-time outdoor viewing
  • Search support
  • Security patrols
  • Equipment monitoring
  • Heat-source detection
  • General long-distance observation
  • Dual-spectrum scene viewing

Warranty

The TRV NT15 includes a three-year warranty, providing extended product support for the dual-sensor thermal imaging system.

Important Use Information

Avoid pointing the thermal or visible-light imaging sensors directly at the sun, lasers, welding arcs or other intense energy sources, as these can damage the device.

Keep both lenses clean and dry and ensure protective covers are correctly secured for outdoor operation. Inspect the housing, battery, controls, lenses and mounting components before use.
